The easy-to-administer strawberry flavour solution is less likely to be refused by infants and can begin to work in minutes. It is globally trusted by parents and can be used in babies as young as 2 months. Each pack also comes with a dosing syringe for easy and accurate dosing.
How does Calpol Infant Suspension work?
It is free from synthetic colours and sugar. The 5ml of the syrup provides 120 mg of paracetamol. Paracetamol is one of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs which are effective in reducing pain, inflammation and fever.
Is the Calpol Infant Suspension suitable for my baby?

Dosage
The commonly used dosage guidelines for Calpol Infant Suspension.
2-3 months of age
The baby's weight should be at least 4kg. The starting dose is 2.5ml. Do not give more than two doses; the interval between the doses should be at least 4 hours. If the fever is still there, talk to the doctor.
3 months to 6 years
If the baby is between 3-6 months, the dose is 2.5 ml up upto 4 times daily. For babies in the age group 6-24 months, the dose is 5 ml up up to 4 times a day.
In the age group 2-4 years, you can use 7.5ml in each dose; in the age group 4-6 years, the basic dose is 10ml.

Overdosing can lead to hyperhidrosis, anorexia, abdominal pain, nausea, malaise, pallor and vomiting. Liver damage can occur in severe cases leading to more severe symptoms.Seek immediate medical attention.
